For the first time ever, I actually made a list of the books I read this year. No, I didn't keep a running list throughout the year - that would've been too easy. Instead, I spent today (the last day of the year) compiling the list.

I had no idea how many books I read before making the list. I would've guessed...maybe 25.

BUT I read 38 books this year! THIRTY EIGHT! (full list at the very end of this post if you're curious)

Here's My Top 6 Reads of 2020 (in no particular order):

  • Life Is A Marathon: A Memoir of Love and Endurance - Matt Fitzgerald

  • Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood - Trevor Noah

  • Sadie - Courtney Summers

  • Prisoners of Geography: Ten Maps That Explain Everything About the World - Tim Marshall

  • Win At All Costs: Inside Nike Running and Its Culture of Deception - Matt Hart

  • Leave Only Footprints: My Acadia-to-Zion Journey Through Every National Park - Conor Knighton

And, here are some books that I'm looking forward to reading in 2021:

  • A Promised Land - Barack Obama (I've started this one, but it's definitely going to take me a while to read.)

  • The Comeback Quotient: A Get-Real Guide to Building Mental Fitness in Sport and Life - Matt Fitzgerald (I've also already started this one.)

  • Who Gets in and Why: A Year Inside College Admissions - Jeffrey Selingo

  • The Cousins - Karen M. McManus (came out December 1st)

  • Good Girl, Bad Blood: The Sequel to a Good Girl's Guide to Murder - Holly Jackson (comes out March 2, 2021)

How many books did you read this year? What were some of your favorites? What are you looking forward to reading in 2021?
